Bamberger Ranch – Austin – Texas

One of the most famous ranches in central Texas we had the great opportunity to meet the group of Sub IALS Fellows and students of Latin American center.
The ranch owner Mr. David Bamberger had a little talk on the ranch as he started he told us on the ranch is 5,500 hectares on the ranch before there was neither water nor electricity, Bamberger Ranch said that nobody wants because it had such services, the Bamberger Ranch bought it in 1969, he was determined to show what the land could be again, Bamberger said he got the idea for a ranch when his mother gave him a book about life on the farm he read the book seven times, after reading the book Bamberger, decided that no case of a man now in the ranch is now a masterpiece of careful conservation of the environment, still use the benefit.
Visit Bamberger Ranch is a pretty fun trip tree hours, is a place where different is surrounded by hardwood trees, and grass prairies surrounding many kinds of animals.
IALS group I went We make a practice of our race, cooking a bit of work but fun, was a meeting where they reached the ranch also Bamberger fellows like us, but they came only three weeks for students of Central America from Nicaragua, Salvador, Republic Dominican Republic, and Honduras at the ranch were for three days in that period of time the students came from middle class America had leadership guidance as to help their community, and how to fix, also in the group we share in these classes IALS that gave them both the program, they also shared the experiences that we lived in their countries, and we share the experience we're having here in San Antonio is very nice experience for me, to know people from other countries, I also have the idea as to start a nature tourism in the environmental care in the future.

HOUSTON SPACE CENTER NASA-TX

The visit space center nasa, is going all students of IALS this travel the performer 9 to 11 October in this year 2009 with Erlito, Anna, and Alicia.
This trip was a new experience for me and dream of my life, this travel. First explore is going visit the Cockrell Butterfly Center the Cockrell Butterfly Center at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. It a stunning, living exhibit that showcases hundreds of live butterflies in a naturalistic rainforest setting. The central conservatory is a dramatic three story glass cone filled with tropical plants and exotic butterflies. During a typical visit, one can expect to see different species of largest and most colorful butterfly species, hovering over flowers or sipping fruit juice and occasionally, landing on visitors the butterflies are raised on special. There is also having a little waterfall. I watched more children, is going for see the butterflies all have in this museum, next go at watched the history of Guardians of China’s first emperor Terra Cotta Chine people of terra cotta, the reserve the monument, habit slaves more people all sedition for king all people working.
In the night we went to visit the park Kemah Boardwalk, all with my partner, all state more happy because game that have different machine, for diversion I no sub to more machine because in this time stab rain but miss other partner is diversion much in this park, but one of miss partner the return to motel sick, always more startle, because never go up game, to this machine, for out they more beautiful I like this park.
Second day we went to visit As the Official Visitor Center for NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston is the only place on Earth that gives guests an out-of-this-world journey through human adventures in space, this place is one of the much important of USA and the world. Before the going the working ourselves take picture to all group, after ourselves in one file for go up in the train, no going only ours group, go more people, different country.
All people ourselves go down of train, coworkers’ ourselves, where the one explain about the moon how the construction the Space Center all history, more people question about of moon, next go for watched this more machine tools the utility for going to other planet to moon is very interest the this people for construction have more skill. Also how the astronaut plating plant died for each astronaut the campus is bigger. Before is all exploring the museums where state put all tools that take going to the moon, the more important I touch one piece the moon have in this museum. I will never in my life forget the experience of this voyage.

MY INTERNSHIP IN MEDINA RIVER NATURAL AREA

In the first two weeks of August the IALS going all groups went volunteer to various tourist sites in San Antonio. I happened to work at Medina River Natural Area with my peers, Ramon, Nico, Mariela, Jose Miguel, Fernando. In the apartments we were picked up by a bus to go to work from 6:45 to 11:00 am after we returned to the apartments. On the site these two weeks we learned how to make a garden in the form of a bird, and I liked this idea. but field working was with not yet planted the flowers but the soil was new . After other people from the office told they would plantain February or March, the soil where it will plant flowers and this clever. Sir Eduardo who was in these weeks working together with us, a very nice person. Also I went fishing with my partner in the Medina River. We caught some little fish , as I could get a minnow from the river I finally felt happy to catch a fish in San Antonio, Medina River, very beautiful site, has different animals. For example I could see turtles, rabbits, squirrels, deers, various birds and others that exist on this site. At the end of two weeks of volunteering the last day we met with people working in the office of Medina Park where we shared watermelon. After that, we were awarded volunteer certificate two for the weeks we worked on Medina River Natural Area. This work a nice experience. I gained more confidence because I could talk to my peers with whom I worked, know more about their countries. Can also create a similar garden in my community, but I would be much better off where no one would speak Spanish. But this experience could help the people of my community.

TOURISM CULTURE IN MY TOWN APOLO

Globalization
It is a fundamental process whose purpose is the interpretation which is currently taking place in the fields of development, economics, political and social.
Economics: In my project is economic income more tours visit my community for week 20 tours at museum. Also the people of my community have relationship for other organization.
Political: I community many politicians, as in all Plaice is the largest species of the community, and to include or work for almost the majority of the community.
Social:That impact communication, transportation, environment, cultures, and religions in my community for this project will be realized.

NEW CELEBRATION THE PICNI

On July 4th the people of New Braunfels celebrated Independence Day. The celebration began at 10:00 am with a parade that included the fire department and the high school band. At 12:15 the mayor welcomed everyone and made a short speech about the significance of the event. Then, at 2:00 the games and sporting competitions started. First there were sack races hosted by the Rotary Club. The races were followed by a baseball game between the New Braunfels Eagles and the San Antonio Tigers. The Eagles won by a score of 6 to 4. When the games ended at 4:00, the mayor awarded prizes and trophies to the winners. At 6:30 everyone went over to Ramos Park and had a delicious barbeque picnic. After the meal, a statue was dedicated to Yined Ramos, who had donated the land for the park to the city. That was followed by a dance in the high school gymnasium that lasted from 7:30 to 9:30. Finally, at 10:00 pm, everybody enjoyed a tremendous fireworks display over the Blanco River. When it was over, many people were saying it had been one of the best celebrations ever.

MARATHON OF PERUVIAN

A Peruvian festival and marathon was held in Helotes on June 6th. The distance was 5 km. for walkers and 8 km. for runners. The IALS students participated in this festival by passing out water to the contestants in different places. The festival began after the marathon at 9:00 am in the downtown area. There was also different dances by the Peruvian people, and songs by my partners Sandra and Josue. Later we all ate Peruvian foods such as anticucho and drank Inca cola. The Peruvian festival finally ended at 3:00 pm. Everybody had a good time.

ENTRELAZANDO CULTURAS BOLIVIA, PERU, ECUADOR Y COLOMBIA

Es te proyectó lo realizamos con un mes de anticipación los 20 estudiantes de IALS este evento se hizo con el fin de mostrar las culturas de nuestros países: los atractivos turísticos de cada país, danzas típicas, comidas típicas para este evento tuvimos que trabajar duro entre nosotros para que todo nos salga bien la presentación en este evento nos fe orientando fe la Profesora Linda Ximenes.
Este evento se realizo el día 23 de mayo de 2009 en Palo Alto College empezó 2:30 de la tarde teníamos mas 100 personas que estuvieron presente en nuestro evento nos da mucha alegría estamos cordialmente agradecida a las personas que nos colaboraron especialmente la familia Suarez, hermanó Benito Ponce de la Iglesia vida Abundante, liana , nuestra coordinadora julia y todos los amigos que nos cooperaron con un granito de arena.
Empezamos el programa del evento con una bienvenida para todos.
BOLIVIA
Nosotros fimos los primeros hacer la presentación al Publico los 4 bolivianas 1 boliviano empezamos con nuestro Himno Nacional, los maravillosos sitios turísticos (video)el autentico aun existe en esta presentación tuvimos la oportunidad de hacer conocer tres danzas típicas de Bolivia que tiene tres regiones: Altiplano, valle, oriente unos de los danzas de Oriente presentamos el taquirari, es uno de los danza muy alegre, del Altiplano La danza de los Caporales representa el hombre mulato en el tiempo de la colonia, El Caporal (capataz) al sentirse el preferido por su patrón, hace que su presencia sea temida por el pueblo de piel oscura en las plantaciones Yungueñas y en los obrajes. hoy en día es el favorito entre la juventud de todas la clases sociales. Esta danza es bailada tanto por jóvenes de zonas residenciales como por migrantes aymaras residentes más populares de la ciudad en la zona de Los Yungas La Paz Bolivia.
del chaco Tobas su origen de esta danza como tal, se remonta a los primeros años del siglo siglo xx entre los años 1911 y 1916 en donde se formaron los primeros grupos tradicionales que participaban en distintas festividades religiosas de Bolivia por eso lo presentamos esta danza los tobas es muy alegre con diferentes pasos.
La comida típica de Bolivia hicimos rellenos de papa y refrescó de piña nos salió deliciosos
COLOMBIA

Empezó con su introducción de cada persona de que parte de Colombia venían para poder conocerlos mas cantaron su Himno Nacional, los sitios turísticos ( video), sus danzas típicas: la cumbia colombiana, El san juanero, los hombres salseros.
Su comida típica empanadas y refrescó de té muy rico.
PERU
Empezó con su introducción de cada persona los 5 peruanos empezaron con su Himno Nacional, presentación de los sitios turísticos (video), danzas típicas: shipibo enamorado, carnaval, festejo -afro.
El Nico Suarez nos declamo su poema Nosotros Somos eso nos dedico a los 19 estudiantes de IALS lo que escribió el poema es tuve muy bonito si me gusto mucho especialmente al público presente les encanto el poema de mi compañero que siga adelante con el mismo interés .
Su comida típica arroz con pollo, arroz con leche, refrescó chica morada, inca cola.
ECUADOR
Empezaron con su Himno Nacional, presentación de los sitios turísticos (video) danzas típicas: San Juanito, marimba, haya huma.
Comida típica pollo con coco, y su refresco .
Nosotros todo el grupo los 20 nos organizamos en presentar una danza merengué el Sua sua y el Himno a las Américas eso fe para finalizar el evento de muestra presentación.
Después de todo el evento tuvimos felicitaciones de una compañera de México Isabel que nos regalo una torda con el nombre Bolivia, Perú ,Colombia, Ecuador y México .
Me siento muy alegre por que el público que estuvo presente en el evento se fe satisfecho, contentos, pudieron saborear la comida típica de cada país.
